Emmanuel Bezhiwa Idakula hails from Nasarawa State, Nigeria. He was born in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.Born into a musical family with a gospel artiste father and choir member mother. Bez absorbed every bit of music around him and has been transmitting all of it through his instrument of choice, the guitar.
Bez was taught how to play the guitar at the age of nine by his late father, Hon. Amos Idakula. A product of Kent Academy Jos, Bez went on to complete his secondary school education at Loyola Jesuit College in Abuja, then he pursued a BSc in ICT at Covenant University, in Ota, Ogun State.Still nursing an undeniable passion for music in University, Bez honed his skills day by day to produce one of the most remarkable playing styles of his generation.
Tagged as "The next big thing" on the Nigerian music scene by The Guardian and Thisday newspapers.
Bez has lived up to the hype with his many LIVE performances at Hennessy Artistry Concert Series, Rhythm Unplugged Concert, Lagos International Jazz Festival, Asa Live in Lagos, Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria pageant, Sax Appeal and the Maiden edition of the Smooth FM Live Acoustic Session, amongst other notable performances.

Bez is currently working with one of Nigeria's most gifted producers, Cobhams Asuquo. Together they have crafted a sound that can be succinctly described as a breath of fresh air.
Bez's music style is a hybrid of Jazz, Soul, and R&B, a delicious potpourri of sounds he calls Alternative Soul. Though quite different from the ever-popular Afro hip-hop genre in Nigeria, he believes the quality of his music will carve a niche by itself taking him to greater heights as he takes this life long ride, creating and sharing his music with the world.
