Anis Halloway is a talented “onion” with different layers of creativity. The singer, songwriter, actor, TV presenter and producer and voice artist was born in the west coast of Africa in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
His professional journey in music started in London in 2004 while he was studying music technology in Lewisham College. He signed with GDM records as a songwriter and artist and worked closely with ace producer Silvastone on music production and song writing. After leaving the label, he continued his foray in the music world as a backup vocalist to some prominent artists some of who include Black Twang, and Sway.
He returned home to Freetown in 2009 and the opportunity arose when MTN Project Fame season II was announced. He made it through the auditions and would represent Sierra Leone in the finals in Lagos. After he left project fame, he joined Nigezie, a Lagos based TV station as a TV presenter and producer and in 2011 he hosted the first season of Nigerian Idol.
His foray in TV presenting continues as he went on to host Calabar Rocks, a 32-day festival organized yearly by the Cross Rivers State Government.
In 2012, he joined the cast of Tinsel as a supporting character and has featured in a couple of short films. He is currently working on a TV project yet to be released/ announced and with music being the central focus, He is set to be one of the pioneering artistes from Sierra Leone to gain international relevance hence has gone back to the studio to work. He has currently released a single, Think I love you” which was produced by Silvastone and topped DJ Edu's DNA show on BBC 1xtra. The song has also gained relevance in major African countries such as Kenya and is set for release to the Nigerian audience. Stay tuned...
